This Course will provide the student with the knowledge and fundamental skill necessary to safely and effectively utilize a Red Dot Sight (RDS) on their handgun and a training methodology for continuing to develop those skills. If you are within the renewal period for your Arkansas Concealed Carry License, we can take care of that at no charge.

If you are new to RDS or want a better understanding and to develop your skill, this is the course for you.

This course is for the General Public, Church Safety and Security Teams, School Resource Officers, Commissioned Security Officers, and Commissioned School Security Officers, who have a desire to hone their defensive skillset in order to be the best protector and initial responder they can be in a Dynamic Critical Incident using a pistol with a RDS.

This course is one full day of intense instruction, training, and practice. Course topics include:

• Setting up and zeroing your RDS
• How to find and track the dot
• Defensive Accuracy
• Balance of Speed and Precision
• Multiple Target Engagement
• Understanding the Body’s Natural Reactions during a Dynamic Critical Incident
• Training methodologies to continue developing your skills

What do I need to bring?

• Lunch, snacks, and plenty of water
• Defensive Pistol
• Backup gun (optional)
• 3 double stack or 5 single stack magazines - this is a requirement
• Strong side hip or appendix holster (quality kydex, or a similar type where the top of the holster remains open)
• 400-500 rounds ammunition (we can have it provided day of class if you need it at market prices, but we need to know ahead of time)
• Eye and ear protection - Electronic Ear Protection STRONGLY recommended
• Weather appropriate clothing
• Gear that can withstand rigorous use. We will be spending a lot of time coming out of, and going back to, the holster.

Our Cancellation Policy at Get Trained Be Ready is as follows:

Our policy is that all payments are non-refundable, but if a student is unable to attend and advises us prior to the day of the class that he or she is unable to attend, we will retain the payment on their behalf for a period of one year from the date of the class as a credit towards any class that we teach in an amount equal to their payment.

However, we limit all class sizes. If you want to attend a later class and notify us after that class is already full, then you will have to wait for another class.
